Troy_N_Stuff: Elon Musk's Tesla Gigafactory - Climate Change Denial
Thank you for writing this, I found it very informative and uplifting. I've always been a fan of Elon Musk, and I'm sure his work regarding climate change is an inspiration to us all. You should write a follow up post on SpaceX and its vision for a better future!

A Blog or Something Idk: Lit Clothing and Mixed Reactions ft. Nike
I with the argument of this post because that's where all the evidence points. Nike choosing to enlist Kaepernick for their ad campaign was a great business move; particularly because the controversy generated a heightened awareness to their campaign and because those who agree with Kaepernick's stance would support Nike and buy their products. I'd like to add that the burning of their products by those to took the opposite stance actually does them less harm than good - because as they say, any press is good press.

How Does This Thing Work: YOu AbSoluTEly sHoulD NoT VoTE!
I fundamentally disagree with the stance that this ad was too aggressive and offensive. If this ad was just another cookie cutter psa, asking millenials nicely to go and vote, it certainly wouldn't have the same splash that it did, and we certainly wouldn't be talking about it right now. This ad was a desperately needed wake up call to those who share their political opinions so passionately to closed groups and safe spaces on social media without fear of opposition to actually get outside and act on those opinions. It is exactly the offensive nature of the psa that got millenials on the offensive. I'd argue that if the aggressive nature of this ad scared potential voters away, their opinions probably didn't count for much anyway.

How Does This Thing Work:  Social Media is cancelled!1!111!!!

Why is competition for likes and comments a bad thing? Competition is among the most basic and primal concepts of nature and the human psyche, and removing it would make social media incredibly unnatural and uninteresting.  Video games are based on competition between players or between players and the computer/console. I'm sure that any reasonable person would agree that games without competition would lose all of their merit and be boring, so why is competition on social media a bad thing? If all comments and likes (views as well) were removed as you suggest, most social media platforms would fail to function as they do. These are just a few parts of social media that would be affected or eliminated: Instagram explore page, instagram home page, the entire reddit upvote/downvote system, youtube trending tab, youtube recommendations, and the entire youtube view system.

Renee's Blog: A Heated Debate: Notre Dame
I strongly agree with most of the points made in this post, especially that many people see this only as a building, not as a shrine to Christianity and a monument to art, history and western culture. I criticize those who scoff at the united efforts to rebuild Notre Dame because I strongly believe that people are entitled to donate to whatever cause they want and causes that are important to them, regardless of causes that others believe to take precedent. I'm sure that those who donated to rebuild Notre Dame have their reasons. I'm also willing to bet that those who criticize the donators so harshly aren't sending money to the less fortunate either.
